It is impossible to take this place for granted…it is exciting to think of the history, legacies, traditions, spirit, activities, events and fun that all spark incredible friendships, memories and life-impacting moments.
I have been living full time at camp since May 1st and “oh, how sweet it is”! In fact, as I write this, there is a lot of construction, repairs, planting, painting, raking and all sorts of things happening. The weather swings from the high 30s to the mid-70s and as we inch closer to summer…this place will be a rockin’ and a bloomin’..and dont worry, warming up, too!!! Counselors are trickling in!
We are all so lucky to be here; there's a lot of planning and prepping as we get ready for this special summer of being back to normal!! Get ready, get set, hold on to your seatbelts because these are just some of the special events and evening activities:
Oh yea!!! Happy to announce that The Fykus Band returns for Camp-a-looza, and then let’s see…we’ve got: Fireworks, Inter-Camp games, Corn Man & The C&W Ho-Down, Dippin’ Dottie, Krispy Kremes, Silent Disco, The All-Camp Mitzvah Celebration, Dutch Auction, Girls’ Sing, Bunk Feast, Fort Night, Gold Rush, Alley Breakfasts, Campfires, Goat Alert Alarm, Ghost, Dorney Park, Hershey, Wayne County Fair, Scranton Yankees, Kahlahari, All New PICKLEBALL, Towanda Open, Unique Entertainment, Lazy Day, The Great Kit-Kat Blind Taste Test, Magic Show, Tubing, S’Mores, Championship Jello Wrestling, Bowling, Bethel Woods Concert, Casino Night, Luau, AirBands……and the list goes on and on and on!
And that my friends, is just a little of what to expect in and around daily activities, friend time, meals, line-up, bugle calls, the smell of a great Camp Towanda fire and so much s’more!!
I am definitely looking forward to the Towanda Family joining me on these hallowed grounds; all of us fortunate to be on the safe, comfortable 400-acre comfort zone; feeling the soil, breathing the air, envisioning, planning, preparing for the best and most exciting normal summer ever —-- rest up, get psyched, finish your homework …the next stop is HONESDALE, PA for Towanda ONE OH WON!!!
