It is definitely May and lots going on…last week alone was May The 4th, Cinco De Mayo, Kentucky Derby, The King’s Coronation, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 premiered and so much is going on at Camp Towanda!!!
Despite the typical “handling and maneuvering” with the weather challenges of a May in Honesdale (basically it is 4 seasons every day here), May still is our favorite crunch time of the year…which means GETTING READY FOR CAMP!!! Staff have begun to trickle in and in addition to the normal de-winterizing and set-up…….
Here are some highlights of stuff going on just during the past few days!
THE WHITE RICK CAFE or aka “THE WRC” is coming along, 1950s retro diner style!

The TOTAL rebuilding (NOT resurfacing) of the Skyview Courts…now ready and prepped (if we can dry out a little) to be “topped”, paved, painted, lined and set up to become T-Courts 7, 8 & 9. (Because they were hungry) and Pickleball Courts 1-6!
Despite the mutiny and the fleeing of the coop, our new crop of chickens, guinea hens and rabbits are acclimating!!
